Standing with Bryan

Story & photos by Tami Ellinport

First Front MC held their 1st official event, “Standing with Bryan”, a fundraiser for one of their members/brothers of their club. Throughout the afternoon, about 500 people came in and out of the Lone Star Bar & Grill in Brooklyn in support of Bryan. The purpose of this fundraiser was to raise monies to have a motorcycle custom built specifically for Bryan, who had three of his limbs blown off while serving in Afghanistan. Tony the owner of the Lone Star cooked all the food and then donated it for this event. Several bands played throughout the afternoon: Talking Trash, Wicked Saints, Heartless and Amped Up. To add to the festivities, Domestic Disorder Automobile Club members brought down their Hot Rods to put on display along 5th Avenue across the street from the Lone Star. The Bensonhurst Bay Ridge Kiwanis Foundation presented Bryan with a check for $10,000 dollars, in the memo area of the check it said, “In Thanks for your Sacrifice”. A generous donation to help Bryan to get his bike built. According to a close source, this fundraiser may have reached its goal. I have to say that Bryan’s disposition after all he’s been through should be an inspiration to us all. To my fellow Veteran, Bryan, I say, “THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AND WELCOME HOME BRYAN”.
