S.C. H-D Spring Party

Suffolk County Harley-Davidson’s 2017 Spring Party

Story & photos by Cowboy

On a beautiful spring Saturday, the folks at Suffolk Harley-Davidson in Oakdale, hosted a very special event/open house for the PAWS OF WAR Organization. The day was a bit chilly, but with everyone chomping at the bit to get the riding season started, hundreds of riders came out to support this organization, which helps our Veterans with assistance dogs. Joe Rock from WBAB emceed the afternoon of fun, which included great live music provided by Bohemian Summer & Truck Stop Gypsies, amazing food consisting of pulled pork, chili dogs & burgers grilled-up by the Grillin’ Crew from bBd’s (Beers-Burgers-Desserts) of Rocky Point, and a variety of Wings from Hooter’s served up by a few of the Hooter’s Girls. The folks from On the Road Again riding school had a course set up in the back of the parking lot. Riders took advantage of this opportunity to brush up on their riding skills. Long Island ABATE was on hand to let folks know about upcoming events and riding awareness facts that EVERY Rider should know. The staff from Suffolk H-D were busy assisting riders with tune-ups and inspections preparing for the busy riding season ahead. Much gratitude goes out to the staff at Suffolk H-D for their hospitality and hosting this event. Thank you to PAWS OF WAR for helping our Veterans, and of course our gratefulness is extended to our countries Veterans for their service! Finally, thank you to all who came out to support this event. Spring is here, ride safe folks!
