Rocking The Road For A Cure (RTRFAC) Inc, established in 2008, embarked on a mission to provide free professional and wellness services to breast cancer patients in Queens and Long Island. Some of the free services the 501(c)(3) non-profit provides includes: case management, individual and family counseling, massage, yoga, wigs, beauty consulting, housekeeping, nutrition, patient transportation to medical appointments, and much more.

On Sunday, October 15th,  at Rocking the Roads for a Cure’s 8th Annual Motorcycle Run, over 400 people showed their support of the organization, whose mission is to rebuild the spiritual, emotional and physical well-being of Breast Cancer patients. The motorcycle Run helped generate much-needed funds to enable the free ongoing wellness programs for the patients.

In the morning riders and passengers journeyed 80 scenic miles from Alley Pond Park, Queens Village, through parts of Nassau and Suffolk County, to the Meadowlands Sports Bar and Restaurant in East Meadow for an after party. The after party included four live rock bands, an acoustic act, a live DJ, food, raffles, vendors, bike trophies and awards.

As a grassroots non-profit organization, Rocking the Road for a Cure’s services and fundraising events rely on the generous contribution of police departments, grantors, sponsors, businesses, donors, and volunteers in our community. RTRFAC extends a huge thank you to the riders, passengers, various motorcycle clubs, volunteers, NYPD’s 105th Precinct, NYPD Highway Patrol, NCPD Motorcycle Platoon, NCPD 2nd and 3rd Precincts, the bands, and party-goers for making this event memorable and beneficial to their breast cancer clients.
