LI Mopars Car Club Final Gathering for 2016
Story & photos by Cowboy
On the last Sunday in November the members of Long Island Mopars,Car Club, held their last gathering of the 2016 season at Hooter’s in Farmingdale. It was a beautiful, brisk autumn day, as the parking lot soon began to fill-up quickly, spilling over into the two lots next door.
There were classic Mopars including a 1970 Super Bee and a variety of Chargers and Challengers of all types/colors, as well as modern Mopar muscle as well. My new friends from the L.I.NEEDS A DRAGSTRIP group were on-hand with an awesome dragster, which sat on a trailer, pulled by a classic pick-up truck. The club had coffee & donuts on hand for those who decided to bring out their cool machines for one final gathering of 2016. Dozens of raffles from car care gift baskets, to services, to a flat screen TV were won. The proceeds from the shows raffles help to absorb club gatherings, such as this, throughout the year. It was great to see these fine vehicles one more time-before many of them get garaged until next season, it was also good to see my car club friends before some of them also get garaged until next season. Thank you for your Hospitality folks. Be safe on the roads!
