Once they were registered, Pastor Gerry Waldron and members of the Rushing Wind Biker Church and Bikers for Christ MM blessed the bikes. (Continue Reading)

Story by Lee Sheridan

Photos by Ron Monteleone, Cowboy

In the Northeast region, the month of April brings with it showers, new foliage, colorful flowers, greatly anticipated warmer weather, and for many the time to get out in the wind and ride! But before we venture out on the roads, it’s always a good idea, and for many a long time tradition to receive a little blessing from above. (Continue Reading)

When I called John, owner of II Eagles to do this interview, of course he was slamming busy with work, but made the time to tell me all about his experience and journey in auto body & collision repair.  John began turning wrenches in the backyard of his parent’s home when he was a young teenager. What Riders Need to Know About ‘Check Your Helmet’ Month

April is National ‘Check Your Helmet’ Month. You may be reading this after the month of April, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t practice helmet maintenance throughout the riding season. The average life cycle of a helmet is 3 to 5 years. However, many riders neglect helmet maintenance or falsely assume that if it ‘looks okay,’ then there is no reason to worry. (Continue Reading)

Repeat Offender 1955 Chevy Gasser

I have owned this car for the past 20 years.  When I first acquired this gem, it was a street car, but my plan was to redesign it to be a gasser. Once I got under the hood and started the transformation process, I quickly realized that this Chevy had a passed life as a gasser. Now it was time to resurrect the old girl and pump 580 horse power into her heart. Besides the details listed in the spec sheet, we gave Offender an old school roll cage and her parachute is old school metal. (Continue Reading)

ICEBREAKER BASH #15 Was One for the Books!

Story by Lee Sheridan

Photos by Sonny McKuskie, Bob Stegmaier, Cowboy, Ron Monteleone,

For the first time since its inception, our annual Full Throttle IceBreaker Bash was held in March, the 5th to be exact. Things got off to a little bit of a rough start, due to 89 North booking a worshipping community to hold church inside the venue on that morning. Church and the IceBreaker under one roof, not a chance. So we waited for the congregation to say their last Amen before transforming 89 North into what is known to the motorcycle community as the cabin fever party of the year! (Continue Reading)

Spreading a little Irish Cheer

Story & photos by Cowboy

When St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Friday, it turns into St. Patty’s Weekend. The Chosen Souls M.C. held their St. Patrick’s Day bash on Saturday, (the 18th) with the traditional Irish meal of Corned Beef & Cabbage, boiled potatoes, and a few loaves of Irish soda bread as well. For those of us celebrating St. Joseph’s Day (the 19th) the club had it covered with plenty of pasta, and sausage & peppers, which was all homemade and finger lickin’ good.   (Continue Reading)

Story & Photos by Cowboy

On February 19th another one of my favorite charity music events took place at Mr. Beery’s in Bethpage, ‘The 21st Annual Band Battle’ which benefits Cystic Fibrosis. This year’s event included 25 awesome bands (I made it through 22 this year) from every genre of music you could imagine, all gathering together to help put an end to Cystic Fibrosis. Hosted by the one & only Steve Beery himself, the music kicked off with The Band of Dwellers and included sets from the Sweet Blues Band, Kerry Kearney, Kid & the Koots, The Dead Cats,Borgo Pass, and a host of many other amazingly talented musicians. Early one Sunday morning in late fall, I came across this awesome array of cars while on my way to the L.I. Mopars event, which was held on November 27th, 2017. On Sunday, January 29th, I attended this event for the first time ever. I arrived at the start site, the Hauppauge Palace Diner and was thrilled to see more than half the parking lot filled with Porsches of all types, along with other exotic style cars as well such as, BMW, Lexus, Mercedes and even a Maserati. Inside the diner, I met the members of this unique club and learned that this was an intricately planned, precision road rally, not a race. (Continue Reading)

E.J. Potter aka The ‘Michigan Madman’ of Drag Racing

Story by Lee Sheridan

Photo of Rocket Trike: Courtesy of Potter family

Elon Jack Potter was born in Ithaca, Michigan, on April 24th, 1941, one of four children of Howard and Sheila Potter, who owned a small farm and a honeybee business. E. J. Potter, a k a the Michigan Madman, was a legend on the American drag strip, who earned his nickname riding 170 plus miles per hour on a motorcycle he fitted with a Chevy V-8 which he named ‘Widow Maker’, and who later went nearly 200 m.p.h. on a three-wheel bike powered by a jet engine. Over the years, Potter built a series of continuously evolving ‘Widow Maker’ Chevy powered drag bikes. My research validates that there were actually 7 in all. (Continue Reading)

Hells Angels MC Long Island Cabin Fever Dinner Party

Story by Cowboy

Photos by Ron Monteleone, Cowboy

In the motorcycle community, this time of year causes riders to feel the anxieties of being cooped up. With almost 2 feet of snow and icy temps that had recently hit LI, the Hell’s Angels LI MC annual Cabin Fever dinner party couldn’t have come at a better time. This year the party returned to the Watermill Caterers in Smithtown, NY, and although this venue is known for hosting black tie affairs, on this day it was basically a black leather affair, which included fine dining, elegant place settings and entertainment by DJ George Marchelos. Sacred Steel MC Anniversary Celebration

Story & photos by Cowboy

This year marks the 9th Anniversary for the Sacred Steel M.C. and that means Party Time! As I arrived at the clubhouse, it was already packed with well-wishers and music playing over the house sound system. The sweet aroma of homemade food filled the air and the wood burning stove was going to keep the space toasty warm, but as bodies arrived, the place heated up fast. The current club President, Rich Schmansky and his brothers were circulating around inside, as well as outside, welcoming their guests. (Continue Reading)
