Another successful fundraiser for the third year in a row was held at LI Choppers for B.R.A.T. Rescue. Last year’s event fell on a very hot day, and this year I have to say it was excruciatingly hot, but there was plenty of water to go around to keep everyone hydrated. (Continue Reading)

WW II Armor

Article & photos by Cowboy

It was a clear Saturday afternoon when I entered the grounds of the Old Bethpage Village Restoration. It was as if I passed through a time warp. I approached the parking area and was greeted by a group of World War II Allied Soldiers, who were manning a check point. They asked me if I was the new photographer and then pointed me in the direction of the encampment at the bottom of the hill. As I entered the area various armored vehicles were being prepared for battle. An M4 Sherman Tank, M16 Quad Halftrack, M3A1 Scout Car with mounted machine gun, and various Troop Carriers were being prepped for an all-out assault on an enemy machine gun nest/bunker in the French countryside. Ryders Don’t Play M.C. LI Bikini Bike Wash

Article by Lee Sheridan

Photos by Cowboy

What better way to spend a hot, Sunday afternoon in July, than with a bikini bike wash. RDP M.C. is a family oriented club, who believe in respect, loyalty and helping the community. With chapters in many states this club supports the brother and sisterhood and believes that all races, creeds and color can come together and live life in peace. They also know how to cut loose and have fun, which is what this day of unity brought forth. The lovely Lisa, donated her time to suds up the bikes and made sure to cool herself off in the process. Support came in from many local M.C.’s and independents. DJ entertainment kept the day flowing and good eats kept many bellies full. RDP M.C. hosted a successful event and thank all who came out to show support. (Continue Reading)

5th Annual Kickstands Up Poker Run

Article & photos by Cowboy

I was extremely happy to see another MC pick up this run, which benefits Long Island’s Veterans. When my Friend, “Trooper”, passed away last year (shortly after this event), I was worried that this event would disappear. Thanks to Founding Son’s, LE (the military M.C. that didn’t happen) and the members of the Impressive & Aggressive Motor Club this year’s show was awesome. With over 100 cars/trucks the parking lot soon filled up, so they needed to begin parking vehicles on the lawn of the facility where the show was taking place. More than 65 motorcycles arrived to participate in the Poker Run portion of the event. With many different forms of musical entertainment throughout the day, and some truly amazing food and vendors, over $2000.00 was raised to help the Suffolk County United Veterans group. Story & photos by Cowboy

I was a little worried when I looked out my window on Father’s Day morning and saw a sea of fog, but by the time I arrived at Merrick Train Station for the Annual Car Show/Motorcycle run the weather was starting to clear. I arrived to a line of classic vehicles waiting to get this show on the road. This show, which benefits the Nassau County Sheriff’s Dept. Widows & Children Fund grows in numbers each year. While getting ready to start shooting, I heard a familiar rumble coming from Sunrise Highway, I looked up to see around 65 Motorcycles,(Led by members of the Forsaken Guns M.C.) rolling into the area set aside for motorcycles parking. On June 24th Bikers for Christ and the Rushing Wind Biker Church held its annual Downed Biker Run. A fundraising event that puts all the proceeds back into the Long Island biker community by assisting our brothers and sisters who ride when they are in financial need due to a motorcycle accident. With our home having moved, this year we started a run at the new location of the Biker Church, 10 Peachtree Ct, Holbrook and had the end party at Attorney, ‘Motorcycle Mike’ Levine’s office in Islandia. A fitting end sight as Mike has and continues to represent victims of motorcycle accidents.  (Continue Reading)
