Many studies have shown that the most common cause of single-vehicle, fatal motorcycle crashes is the failure to negotiate curves, with the motorcycle continuing in a straight line until it strikes a stationary object.  This type of crash is often caused by panic, where the rider freezes and is unable to lean the bike causing it to “low side”, or more likely, the fatal crash is caused by alcohol-impaired balance and coordination. Aging in place is a phrase used to describe someone who adapts their home environment to accommodate the effects of getting older.
