Anchor Bike Run

1st Annual Anchor Bike Run

The inaugural Anchor Bike Run hosted by Love Hopes Anchor was a huge success! Bikers came out from the NYC, Connecticut, and Long Island areas for this great cause. The Anchor Bike Run serves as a vehicle to raise awareness and financial support to build an Elementary School with an Agricultural extension for orphaned and fatherless children grades K-6. Suffolk, Nassau, and NYPD Highway patrol escorted the run from Applebee’s in Brentwood to Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn. Participating in the run were Pastor Jamaal Bernard and Senior Pastor A.R. Bernard. Jus Cruz’in MC led the riders from Suffolk County to Brooklyn where there was live music provided by Alma Rivera, Felix Andino, and Hot97 DJ TONYTONE. Refreshments, Raffles, and activities for children were provided. The skies above boasted beautiful weather for a glorious day!

President & founder of Love Hopes Anchor, Yesenia Aguirre, received the NY State Assembly Award signed by Assemblyman, Chad A. Lupinacci. The award recognizes Yesenia’s dedicated work in education and children, and was presented to her by Nassau County Legislative candidate, Angel Cepeda.
